Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Makes 2 generous portions
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 banana
  • Strawberries (as many as you like - frozen berries are great) (I put about 6 in mine)
  • 1 tbsp. sugar (or more to taste)
  • A splash of vanilla
  • Ice (optional) (I don't have ice in my house so I didn't use it)
Put all the ingredients into a blender and froth it up. Delish!

(I wanted mine a little more substantial so I put it in the freezer for 20 minutes. A little longer would be good too... It was a very good smoothie.)

Homemade Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Whip cream until almost stiff. Add sugar and vanilla; beat until cream holds peaks. Spread over top of cooled pie or dollop on bread pudding, gingerbread, cobblers, or other desserts.
This whipped cream is one of the best things I've ever tasted! It is delicious and is wonderful in hot chocolate and as a toppings for just about anything! It is so much better than the store bought containers!
